This notice is to inform you of an immediate product recall being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Product: Misco Sports Badminton Toy Set Red/Blue MT2383

Description: The badminton toy set comes in blue and red and with a light up shuttlecock. The Badminton Toy Set MT2383 has “MT2383” and “100125” printed on product located on black handle in white color letters.

Hazard: The shuttlecock contains button cell batteries that can be easily accessed by children. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and deaths.

Units Affected: 9840. “MT2383” and “100125” are printed on product located on black handle in white color letters.

Required Actions:

  1. Immediately STOP SALE of all affected units.
  2. Quarantine all inventory—do not sell, distribute, or return to shelves.
  3. Notify all downstream customers dealers, retailers, etc. within your distribution chain.
  4. Post recall notice at point of sale if applicable.
  5. Provide inventory count of affected units within and send certificate of destruction.

Remedy: Consumers will be asked to throw away the badminton toy set immediately, take the shuttlecock away from children and contact Missry Associates for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to dispose of the badminton toy set with the shuttlecock number MT2383 in the trash and send the photo to toys@misco.us.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), we are recalling the product identified below due to a potential safety hazard.

Product: Misco Sports Light-Up Racket Set MT2287

Description: Misco Sports Light-Up Racket Set MT2287. The MT2287 comes in black color, one ball and one birdy. The Sports Light-Up Racket has “MT2287” and “100125” printed on product located on black handle in white color letters.

Hazard: The screw on the racket used to secure the battery compartment does not remain attached when opened, and the button cell batteries in the shuttlecock can be easily accessed by children. If button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns, and death.

Units Affected: 2016. “MT2287” and “100125” are printed on product located on black handle in white color letters.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using and throw away the racket set immediately, take the shuttlecock away from children and contact Misco Toys for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to destroy and dispose of the racket set and shuttlecock in the trash, and send a photo of the discarded set to toys@misco.us. Button cell batteries are hazardous and should be disposed or recycled by following local hazardous waste procedures.
